Rebar tie wire is soft black annealed steel wire used to bind intersecting reinforcing bars before a concrete pour. Leeter draws and anneals 16GA and 16.5GA tie wire at our own factory in Dingzhou, Hebei — inside China's steel wire production belt — and supplies it in small coils, spools and reels for high flexibility and reliable knot strength.

What gauge tie wire is best for rebar?
16GA (1.6mm) black annealed wire is the most common choice for general rebar tying — strong enough to hold bars firmly while staying flexible for quick twists. 16.5GA is used where slightly lighter wire is preferred; 18GA suits lighter mesh work.
What is the difference between black annealed and galvanized tie wire?
Black annealed wire is softer and ties faster, ideal for concrete that will be poured quickly. Galvanized tie wire adds a zinc coating for corrosion resistance where the wire is exposed longer or used outdoors.
Can you supply tie wire on reels for automatic tying tools?
Yes. We produce spooled and reeled tie wire wound to the inner diameter and coil weight required by common rebar-tying tools, in addition to hand-tie small coils.
