What height field fence do I need for cattle or sheep?
Cattle are typically fenced with 1.0–1.2m field fence; sheep and goats with 0.9–1.1m and tighter bottom spacing; deer exclusion needs 1.8–2.4m. The graduated mesh means one roll handles mixed stock — small openings low, wide openings high.
What is a hinge joint and why does it matter?
The hinge joint wraps each vertical stay around the line wires, forming a pivot that flexes when animals push the fence and returns to shape instead of kinking. It is the standard economical knot for livestock fencing worldwide.
